F*AGS

F*AGS is an ongoing collection of digital photographs exploring the inseparability of LGBTQ+ identities with the self. Each piece is an assemblage of multiple images of a subject into one portrait. The variety of image environments highlights the ever-present awareness of their queer identity as a part of their overall constitution regardless of time and space. Each portrait is divided into bands overlaid with the colors of a pride flag they identify with. The objective of this series is to highlight queer identities in a time of increasing regression for LGBTQ+ rights and freedoms worldwide, including in the United States. Printed in standard flag dimensions, these images explore the idea that the same affinities we represent with flags can often constitute inseparable aspects of our identity which color our daily lives.
